All Elite Wrestling (AEW) Attendance is Reportedly on “Life Support”

All Elite Wrestling (AEW) Attendance is on “Life Support”

All Elite Wrestling (AEW) has been struggling badly ever since WWE Superstar CM Punk left the promotion. AEW fans don’t want to hear that, but those are simple facts, based on numbers.

The latest episode of Dynamite, which aired on September 4, 2024, brought home just 660K viewers. Just last September, they averaged 920K viewers.

That was the end of Punk’s time there. While he was on the Dynamite roster, viewership was over 1 million multiple times. Ever since, it’s been a drop for every AEW show. They just had their lowest-watched episode of Collision this week. This week's Collision brought in less than 300K viewers. This is a very bad sign, as this week's shows are the lead in for this weekend's PPV, All Out!

But this is about live attendance and that has been awful for AEW.

Keep in mind, they only run one or two shows a week. Compared to WWE, who have an insane schedule. By insane, I mean they sometimes run multiple shows in different countries on the same day.

There have been all kinds of pictures from fans, showing how bad some live crowds have been. Today, we have another, courtesy of Sitting in Gorilla on Instagram. They came up with the “life support” line. Harsh but fair.
