Bryan Idol Explains Issues with Ring Ropes at NWA 76

The National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) held one of their biggest shows of the year last night, NWA 76! It was held at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, which they sold out.

I caught most of the show and thought it was very good. Also, I read and listened to some reviews and posts on social media. The majority seemed to enjoy it.

There was one issue that came up a lot though: the ring ropes!

A fan on Facebook, Matt Rossi, replied to a NWA 76 post:

“Good show but the ropes were garbage. Way too much give and they kept getting looser every match.”

NWA star Bryan Idol explained the situation:

“The ring was supplied by the arena. We were VERY disappointed in that. It was actually broken! All the wrestlers did a great job of making do with what we had. We will never again let that venue supply the ring!”

Damn, a broken ring?! Amazing job by the wrestlers staying safe AND putting on a fun show for fans. The venue, 2300 Arena, which was once known as the historic ECW Arena, should be ashamed.

The NWA heads to Tampa, Florida on October 5th and 6th to film another season of their flagship weekly show, NWA Powerrr!

Before the event yesterday, NWA stars lent their support to an amazing cause by visiting The Children’s Miracle Network yesterday.
