Chicago White Sox Player Hit in the Face by their Own Catcher

The 2024 White Sox seem to be trying incredibly hard to be remembered as one of the worst MLB teams ever. Chicago lost their 6th straight yesterday, which is actually totally normal for them. That dropped their record to an amazingly miserable 31-103!

Cleveland is currently leading the American League, 45 games ahead of the lowly White Sox.

Not only did they lose again last night, they’re clearly not even paying attention!

Before the top of the eighth inning, second baseman Lenyn Sosa didn't see the catcher's warmup throw, which ended up hitting him right in the face.

The Chicago White Sox are a professional baseball team in Chicago, Illinois, part of the American League Central Division. Founded in 1900, they play at Guaranteed Rate Field, opened in 1991. The team has won three World Series championships: 1906, 1917, and 2005, ending an 88-year drought.

Despite mixed performance, recent seasons show promise with young talent like Tim Anderson, Luis Robert, and Dylan Cease. The rivalry with the Chicago Cubs, known as the Crosstown Classic, adds excitement, and the team aims to reclaim their competitive status and pursue another championship title.
