Daisy Ridley’s “Star Wars: Jedi Order” Movie Now on Hold
Yesterday brought ome great news to many Star Wars fans, like myself, who disliked the sequel trilogy. The planned Rey movie is now reportedly on hold. Titled “The New Jedi Order”, it is or was set to star the returning Daisy Ridley.

The New Jedi Order movie starring Daisy Ridley as Rey reportedly needs more work and is now on hold. It is not expected to start filming until 2025.
What percentage of fans wanted to see that though? Nothing against Ridley, she did a great job with a ridiculously overpowered character. Kylo Ren, played by Adam Driver, was even better, he carried the trilogy, IMO.
The sequels should have been about Ben Solo, the son of Han and Leia who was trained by Luke. I’ve read many ideas about this and they are SO much better than what we got. Too bad Disney made the expanded universe non-canon. The stories about Jacen Solo (the book name of Han & Leia's son) becoming Darth Caedus would have been excellent, had they been converted to a screenplay. But unfortunately, Disney only allows for strong female lead characters these days.
So this is normally the first step in a film being canceled. There have been rumors that Kathleen Kennedy’s time is coming to an end, after some HUGE failures. I’m not going to say she destroyed the Star Wars brand, along with Indiana Jones. But she seemed to try really hard to do so.
