Former AEW & TNA Star Ethan Page Wins WWE NXT World Title!
Ethan Page is a newcomer to WWE NXT, but he’s been around the block. Page is a former TNA Tag Team Title holder as part of “The North”, with Josh Alexander. He’s wrestled all over the indies, worked for Ring of Honor and most recently All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where he was totally wasted.
Tonight at NXT Heatwave, he became a World Champion, for the first time since his pro wrestling debut in 2006. That’s a lot of grinding, congratulations to him.
He defeated Trick Williams, Je'Von Evans and Shawn Spears in a four-way match.
My Thoughts:
Now I don’t watch NXT every week, but I keep up for the most part. Or thought I did because I’m shocked!
He doesn’t seem ready to become NXT Champ. In terms of how long he’s been there and what he’s accomplished in NXT. Unless I missed something, which is very possible.
I think this was to show AEW talent what could happen if they jump.
