“FROM” S3 Returns with Terrifying Main Character Death | SPOILERS
The incredibly underrated mystery/horror series, “FROM”, is back and scarier than ever! Season 3 premiered on MGM+, on September 22, 2024, and fans are going wild over the first episode.
If you don’t know anything about “FROM”, I would love to give you a rundown of the first two seasons, but that would take hours, charts, photos, etc. It would be like trying to explain “Lost” to someone during season three.
Check it out, especially if you liked Lost. It just happens to also star Harold Perrineau, who is absolutely brilliant here. I knew he was a very good actor from Lost and Oz, but never realized he was THIS great.
Here come spoilers from the first episode. You’ve been warned, again.
OMG! Poor Kenny!! How can he possibly come back from that?! First, his father is killed by one of the monsters and then his mother, Tian-Chen, played by Chinese-Canadian actress, Elizabeth Moy.
And she wasn't just killed. She was killed in the worst way we’ve seen in the series.
It was legitimately painful to take in, as the monsters (or whatever you call them) forced Boyd (Perrineau) to watch as they SLOWLY and painfully killed Kenny’s mother!
She was SUCH a nice character. She lost her husband to those filthy animals and kept trying to help, be positive, etc. But put that all together and I believe it was one of the best scenes from the series.
The evil SOB’s set up a trap with the animals, which is something we’ve never seen before. It shows they are getting smarter. I think that has to be linked to Boyd’s blood being shared with one of them.
Even though that one died, they clearly are all connected. Boyd yelled out in season two, “You will not break me!” and they turned it on him here.
