Jose Canseco Announces Home Run Derby for Non-MLB Players

Jose Canseco, the 1998 American League Most Valuable Player, is putting on a Home Rub Derby! This is for anyone “outside of the MLB”, and likely no drug testing!

*Canseco admitted using performance-enhancing drugs during his career in his book, Juiced: Wild Times, Rampant 'Roids, Smash Hits & How Baseball Got Big.

The two-time World Series Champion was the first player in MLB history to hit 40 home runs and steal 40 bases in one season.

The Derby is going to take place live on PPV, October 5th at LoanDepot Park in Miami, Florida. Ticket info will be announced soon.

A streamer named Eric Sim (KingofJUCO) has already stepped up to the challenge. Good luck to him!

I’m sure many more names will be popping up soon.

Canseco's career faced controversies, particularly regarding performance-enhancing drug use. In 2005, he released his autobiography, "Juiced," discussing his steroid use and naming other players, which sparked significant debate about drug use in MLB. After retiring in 2001, he explored reality television and boxing, remaining a controversial but talented figure in baseball history.
