New York Knicks Make Massive Trade for Karl-Anthony Towns
The Knicks and Minnesota Timberwolves have agreed to a blockbuster trade! New York traded Julius Randle and more for the former Rookie of the year, 4-time NBA All-Star, and even a 3-point contest winner, Karl-Anthony Towns!
The Wolves also added fan favorite guard Donte DiVincenzo, forward Keita Bates-Diop and a future first-round pick from the Knicks, via the Detroit Pistons.
Sure, that’s a lot but the Knicks can win it all this year. They were 9.5-1 favorites to win the NBA Championship before this trade, now they are 8-1, only behind the Oklahoma City Thunder and Boston Celtics.
I absolutely love this trade for the Knicks, they are stacked and really only needed a big man before this. They got one of the best in the NBA, who is extremely versatile.
Like I mentioned he won a three-point contest and he’s 7 feet tall! The 28-year-old missed most of the 2022-23 season with a knee injury, but bounced back last year, averaging 21.8 points and 8.3 rebounds per game.
Randle and Donte DiVincenzo will be missed, but there only so many shots to go around. New addition Mikal Bridges needs a lot of shots and now so will KAT, I think it’s going to work out very nicely.
Might even bet on the Knicks to win it all right now, before the odds change even more.
