She founded the company in 2020. Bloomberg analysis assumes Gomez holds a 51 percent majority interest. They also reported that Selena hired advisers to weigh selling Rare Beauty at a $2 billion valuation, though she later told Time magazine that she has no plans to sell.
Gomez currently stars in the series, “Only Murders in the Building”, along with comedy legends Steve Martin and Martin Short. Martin is a co-creator with John Hoffman.
The Hulu original is in it’s fourth season, and the fifth has already been green-lit. Hulu is also owned by the Walt Disney Corporation, so it's obvious that Gomez is loyal to the brand.
