Shooter McGavin Confirms “Happy Gilmore” Sequel is Happening

It’s been almost 30 years since Adam Sandler’s hit golf movie “Happy Gilmore”. Now, similar to Beetlejuice, a sequel is in the works after a very long break. This is according to Christopher McDonald, who played the fantastic villain, “Shooter McGavin”

Check out his quotes about the film, then my thoughts after.

“I saw Adam about two weeks ago, and he says to me, McDonald, you’re gonna love this.

I said, What? He says, How about that?

And he shows me the first draft of ‘Happy Gilmore 2.

Maybe you should cut that out because I don’t wanna be a liar, but he did show me that, and I thought, “Well, that would be awesome.”

So, it’s in the works. Fans demand it, dammit!”

I mentioned on the Beetlejuice post, how these usually don’t work. The breaks are just too long and there’s all kinds of issues with that.

But this is Happy F-N Gilmore!

Plus, it’s happening after LIV came to life and started battling PGA.

No idea how or if they’d want to work something like that into a sequel. I don’t care either, this is one of my all-time favorite dumb comedies.

It’s insanely quotable, “I eat pieces of shit like you for breakfast”...”Why don’t you just go home!”….“The price is wrong, bitch!”, etc.
