TNA’s Wentz Defeats NXT’s Lee at No Mercy then Calls Out Tag Champs!

WWE NXT “No Mercy” 2024 is airing live right now on Peacock and the WWE Network. One of the most interesting matchups was between former friends, new TNA X-Division Champion Zachary Wentz taking on Wes Lee (fka Desmond Xavier).

It was a back and forth match, when Lee went for a chair and was stopped by TNA’s Trey Miguel! His other former best friend as part of The Rascalz, which led Wents to the huge win.

That wasn’t even the end of his amazing night as he, with Trey, later challenged the new NXT Tag Team Champions, Axiom and Nathan Slater!

*Update: Ava Raine announced a #1 Contenders match for this week’s NXT. Wentz & Miguel will face former NXT Champs Gallus, plus Hank & Tank in a Triple Threat Match.

We told fans a while back that the best is yet to come for this NXT-TNA relationship, and it seems to be happening. And we haven’t even gotten to the main even with Joe Hendry going for the NXT Title!

ICYMI: TNA held IMPACT tapings last night, we have some spoilers linked.
