Watch or Skip?: “SNL” Hosted by Sydney Sweeney on March 2, 2024

Welcome to “Watch or Skip?” where we advise you on, well, watching or skipping movies and shows. It’s pretty simple.

Back at it with an all-new AllDistractions “Watch or Skip” exclusive! Which hopefully becomes known around the world as simply, #ADWoS. This one is for the latest episode of Saturday Night Live.

The March 2, 2024 SNL show was hosted by Sydney Sweeney. Her first time hosting, with performances by Kacey Musgraves.

The full episode is available now on Peacock and YouTube.

This is usually where I say some stuff before advising “Watch or Skip”. But this is a special case with Sydney Sweeney hosting SNL. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and same for thumbnails I guess.

Do I really need to type more about this? Is it sexist if I don’t? She literally jokes about her incredible rack all the time, even on this SNL.

Ok fine, I haven’t seen her in much, other than Madame Web. So, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but she’s very funny with great timing. Every character she played on this show, she nailed them, showing a lot of range.

Not a fan of Sydney? Ok, musical guest Kacey Musgraves was absolutely incredible! She sang “Deeper Well” and “Too Good to Be True”. I had never heard either song before and became a fan in under a minute.

So….watch or skip?

FINAL VERDICT:

“Saturday Night Live” is produced in association with Broadway Video. The creator and executive producer is Lorne Michaels.

Sydney Sweeney made her “SNL” hosting debut on this 3/2/24 show. The Emmy Award-nominated actress stars in “Immaculate”. Scheduled to hit theaters March 22nd.

This was the third appearance by Kacey Musgraves as musical guest. The Grammy-winning artist’s upcoming album, “Deeper Well,” will be released March 15.
