WWE Hall of Famer, Senior Vice President of NXT & Talent Relations, “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels recently spoke on The Ringer Wrestling Show about a possible TNA vs. NXT “Worlds Collide” event.

When TNA began working with WWE NXT, I would have never thought this was possible. Now it seems basically set and just a matter of when. Michaels talked about not rushing it, because they’re enjoying the relationship, and a TNA vs. NXT show, would basically be the end of the story.

Here is a quote from HBK:

“Well, look, I think obviously those things are possible (Worlds Collide-type event with TNA) but I will say, I look at this and hope that it is a long-standing relationship. In my personal opinion, I feel sometimes that if you go to those types of things too soon, then now you’ve gone through it and where do you go from there? So, right now, we’re enjoying this partnership.

I think we’re enjoying very different matchups than we thought we’d be able to see here, in just a short amount of time. So, obviously excited about the future, excited about that relationship. I will say nothing’s ever off the table here in the WWE. Certainly in NXT. But I think, you know, we wanna go slower as opposed to faster.”

TNA has been working with WWE since earlier this year when Jordynne Grace appeared at the Royal Rumble. She’s made recurring appearances on NXT, along with fellow Knockout Rosemary and former X Division Champion, Zach Wentz.

He’s even been part of a major feud with former Rascal, Wes Lee. Plus, it goes both ways with NXT stars appearing on TNA IMPACT, like Tatum Paxley, Arianna Grace, Sol Ruca, the No Quarter Catch crew and more.

TNA Wrestling airs Thursdays at 8PM ET on AXS TV and the Fight Network.

WWE NXT airs Tuesdays at 8PM ET, now on the CW.
