Former AEW Champion Seriously Injured During ROH Tapings

Former AEW Champion Seriously Injured During ROH Tapings

Ring of Honor tapings were held before tonight’s (October 2, 2024) live episode of AEW Dynamite. During the tapings, former 3x TNT Champion and 1/2 of the current ROH Tag Champs, Sammy Guevara, was reportedly “seriously injured”.

Guevara landed roughly after hitting a mid-air cutter. The match then had to be halted immediately due to the injury.

AEW and injuries seem to go hand in hand, which we actually wrote about earlier in the week. PWP Nation tweeted about how AEW needed to take responsibility for all of the injuries that mostly come from unnecessary moves.

Best wishes to Sammy, hopefully it’s not too bad and/or he has a speedy recovery.

The 31-year-old Guevara is a ROH tag team champion with teammate Dustin Rhodes. He was trained by WWE legend Booker T and his Reality of Wrestling promotion.

AEW Dynamite airs live Wednesdays at 8PM ET on the TBS Network.

The show is airing now on the TBS Network.
