Many Fans Unhappy with “Joker 2” Ending | SPOILERS!!
The “Joker” movie sequel, “Joker: Folie à Deux” stars the returning Joaquin Phoenix (Arthur Fleck) and is joined by Lady Gaga. It’s set to hit theaters in the U.S this Friday, October 3rd.
There have been spoilers already leaked, and you have been warned. Leave now if you don’t want to read about the ending of Joker 2! The following comes from a ComicBookMovie.
Arthur is arrested at the end and sent back to Arkham Asylum. A fellow inmate offers to tell him a joke, but instead of a punchline, he stabs Arthur in the stomach, leaving Arthur to bleed out and die while laughing maniacally.
I’m not sure why so many fans are upset about this. It’s exactly like Christopher Nolan’s trilogy ending with Batman being an idea, and leaving Robin John Blake protect Gotham.
Nobody freaked out about that, and that was Nolan’s beloved trilogy. Director Todd Phillips and Phoenix would never join a DCU ensemble movie, like a Justice League.
So who cares? That was the end of his story. Arthur had the idea of creating “The Joker” character that will live on forever.
